Biography
Hamid Arzanlou was a father of two young children. He was shot in the head by security forces in Tehranpars, Tehran, on January 8, 2026, during protest movements and fell into a coma, dying from his injuries on January 11, 2026. His brother, Vahid Arzanlou, who attempted to assist him, was also shot and later died. Security forces reportedly demanded a large sum from their family and forced them to declare the cause of death as "stroke" in exchange for their bodies.
حمید ارزانلو پدر دو فرزند کوچک بود. او در تاریخ ۱۸ دیماه ۱۴۰۴ در منطقه تهرانپارس تهران، در جریان اعتراضات، با اصابت گلوله به سر توسط نیروهای امنیتی به کما رفت و در تاریخ ۲۱ دیماه ۱۴۰۴ بر اثر جراحات وارده جان باخت. برادرش، وحید ارزانلو، که برای کمک به او رفته بود، نیز هدف گلوله قرار گرفت و بعداً درگذشت. نهادهای امنیتی برای تحویل پیکر این دو برادر، مبلغ هنگفتی از خانواده دریافت کرده و آنها را مجبور کردند تا علت مرگ را «سکته مغزی» اعلام کنند.
